About the Job

A Household and Industrial Maintenance Technician, also known as a Maintenance Worker or Handyman is responsible for the upkeep and repair of residential and Industrial properties. They handle a wide range of tasks to ensure that homes and general Industry are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. Here is a typical position profile: completion of projects, followed by the maintenance and repair activities of the fuel station, with a focus on equipment, infrastructure, and safety protocols

Key Responsibilities

1. General Maintenance and Repairs

• Conduct routine inspections and identify areas in need of repair or maintenance.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
• Fix or replace appliances, fixtures, and hardware.

2. Carpentry and Woodworking

• Repair or replace damaged doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture.
• Construct or assemble structures as required.

3. Plumbing

• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and faulty fixtures.
• Install or replace pipes, fittings, and fixtures.

4. Electrical Work

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems.
• Install or replace switches, outlets, light fixtures, and circuits.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

5. Painting and Finishing

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including patching holes and cracks.
• Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes as needed.

• Identify and report potential hazards or code violations.

7. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and replacements.

• Liaise with the Finance Department to Issue Relevant Invoices.

Qualifications
• Preferable diploma or equivalent or higher; additional technical education or certification in mechanical or electrical fields is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in using computer software for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to support maintenance needs.
